Child care providers are operating with new requirements, including serving a smaller number of children as well as adhering to stricter health and safety guidelines. Many providers operating at this time have vacancies.

  • To find a local provider:
    • Reach out to 211 for up-to-date information on the child care programs operating in our region. To receive a customized referral to emergency child care programs contact 211info by:
      • Calling 211. Listen to the prompt for Child Care and press the specified number.

School-Age Child Care Providers

The following programs are providing care for school-age children. The city the program is located in is listed. Due to high demand, these programs may be full or have a waitlist.

Employment Related Daycare (ERDC) Assistance

The Employment-Related Day Care (ERDC) program helps eligible lower-income families pay for child care while they are working. ERDC helps eligible families pay part of the child care cost. This amount depends on the family’s income, size, and the a​mount the child care provider charges.

The following are some of the temporary changes made to support families with child care assistance, during the state of emergency related to the virus that causes COVID-19.
  • Copays have been reduced to $0 through families’ current certification periods
  • Families that apply by October 31 can qualify for 12 months of $0 co-pay
  • The income limit has increased for initial eligibility
