Classes and Workshops
Raising a child is a remarkable journey, but every parent knows that it can be frustrating at times. Whether it’s tantrums, fighting with siblings, or getting homework done, every parent needs a little help sometimes. At LaneKids we want all parents to have access to the knowledge, tools and support to help them raise happy, healthy kids. We support local agencies to offer classes and workshops for parents looking to boost their skills. These classes are evidence based- meaning they’ve been proven to help parents just like you.
While there are several different kinds of classes, each one is designed to help you celebrate what you’re already doing well and give you new tools and resources for the hard times. You’ll also get to meet other parents who are dealing with the same things you are, and share your struggles and successes. Many programs provide meals, transportation and childcare. Call the agency directly to get more information or to register for a class.
Don’t have time to attend a class in person? Check out the Positive Parenting Program, or Triple P, an online course you can take anywhere you have internet connection.
