Stories with Ms. Taylor

November 26 @ 6:30 pm - 7:15 pm

|Recurring Event (See all)

An event every week that begins at 6:30pm on Monday, repeating until December 18, 2018

Welcome to big kid storytime! For this series, we work on reading shorter chapter books and focus on comprehension, narrative and predictive skills, empathy, and listening.

When the program begins, we give participants a few minutes to settle in with an art or craft project. Then we will read for somewhere between 25 and 45 minutes, depending on the audience engagement that evening.

It will take 2-3 sessions, typically, to read one chapter book. For families that cannot join us for all the session of a title, we will have additional copies ready to check out! (While supplies last). At each session, we’ll recap what has happened before in the story so that anyone can join at any point and enjoy the program.

There are no age restrictions on this program, but we are designing the program for children ages 4-8 in mind. All are most welcome!

Questions? Contact Librarian Taylor Worley at tworley@springfield-or.gov or 541-726-2243.
