Celebrate local Scandinavian heritage with food, crafts and entertainment at Junction City’s 59th Scandinavian Festival. Thursday is Norwegian Day, Friday is Swedish Day, Saturday is Danish Day and Sunday is Finnish Day. Three stages of entertainment are filled with choral and instrumental groups, folk dancers and informational presentations. Find unusual handicrafts of Scandinavian culture such as Hardanger Embroidery, bobbin lace and Rosemaling. Vendors sell homemade paintings, woodcrafts, jewelry and more. Get classic fair food such as caramel corn and cotton candy, but be sure not to miss the Danish favorite, aebleskivers!
Junction City historical museums The Dr. Norman L. Lee House Museum and The Mary E. Pitney House Museum will be open daily during the Scandinavian Festival.
